Putting the Crossbow Together
Assembly of this x-bow is both quick and easy. You mount the riser to the stock, attach the foot quiver, and then mount the quiver. Next, you can mount your scope and get ready to sight in. All together, this crossbow took me about 20 minutes to assemble, since I had some trouble aligning the cable slide onto the cable. Still, a pretty easy assembly.
Is the StykeZone Solution LS Accurate and Powerful?
This crossbow speeds the arrows to target at 390 fps, with over 135 ft. lbs. of kinetic energy. This is more than enough power to topple your target block if you don’t have it propped up. After shooting more than a few of these ultra-powerful crossbows, though, I’ve learned to always stand my target block up to either a tree or flush against my backstop. I got tired of having to pick my target block back up after my third 120+ ft. lbs. crossbow.
Once I had the StrykeZone Solution LS sighted in, I started testing the accuracy of the crossbow. From 20 yards, I could maintain one-quarter inch groupings and that didn’t increase by much when I moved out to 30 yards. My 40 yard groupings were about an inch. In general, I was pleased enough with the power and accuracy to take the crossbow out into the hunting field.

Will Hunters Like this Crossbow?
With its kinetic energy pushing almost 135 ft. lbs., this crossbow is more than capable of taking out the largest game legal for hunting anywhere in North America. Coupled with that power is exceptional accuracy, so this crossbow is perfect when it comes to shooting and killing the game. Even better, the crossbow is lightweight and slim, making it easy to carry through the bush to your hunting spot.
I’ve taken the StrykeZone Solution LS on several hunts, and have never been disappointed with its performance. The crossbow shoots quieter than many other crossbows, allowing me to take down my game without worrying about the animal string jumping on me. The last time I took this x-bow hunting, we were hunting black bear and found some prey. I took careful aim at the bear, and made the kill shot. The bear only managed to shamble off about 10 yards before he dropped for his dirt nap.
Cocking The StrykeZone Solution LS
With all the power this crossbow deals out, you would think that it would be a bear of a draw weight. However, the draw weight is really just 155 pounds, but the crossbow has a power stroke of 15.5”, allowing it to put a lot of power behind the arrow before it leaves the rail.
Drawing the StrykeZone Solution LS is smooth and easy, and the safety engages reliably every time you draw the string back.
The Crossbow Scope
This bow comes with a multi-reticle scope of decent quality. The scope sights in very easily, requiring just a few windage and elevation adjustments to fire straight and true. Once sighted in, the scope holds zero for months or even longer (in fact, I’ve yet to have to sight in the scope a second time, because it’s held zero through two seasons of shooting).
My only complaint about the included scope is the lack of decent light gathering capabilities or illumination. This scope, to be honest, is next to worthless during low light conditions. On the other hand, the coated optics are very fog-resistant, so you don’t have to worry about the lenses fogging over in cold weather. As long as the light is good, your target will be clear and crisp with plenty of contrast.

This x-bow ships with 5 385-grain arrows, along with a 5-quiver arrow. That seems like an odd number of arrows to ship with, but there you have it. It’s also odd that the arrows are weighted to 385 grain, but I found the crossbow to be just as speedy and powerful with 400 and 425 grain arrows.
The included arrows are pretty poor quality, so I quickly swapped them out for my favorite arrow, the Firebolt. As long as you choose arrows at least 20” long, you’ll have plenty of luck with the StrykeZone Solution LS.

The StrykeZone Solution LS is designed with safety in mind, with a grip shield and a Case-Fire secondary safety. The limbs are laminated and excellent quality, and the anti-dry fire mechanism and safety work flawlessly every time. This crossbow is very well made, and should provide you with years of quality shooting at an affordable price.
Warranty
Assuming you purchase your crossbow from an authorized retailer, it will have a limited lifetime warranty. Bowtech, the parent company of Diamond Archery, does not consider most online purchases to be from authorized retailers, though, which is pretty short-sighted (in my opinion). The warranty is non-transferrable, but on the plus side, Bowtech and Diamond have some of the friendliest customer service representatives I’ve ever dealt with.
What Crossbow Case Fits the Diamond StrykeZone Solution LS?
The StrykeZone Solution is somewhat n the smaller side so most standard crossbow cases with house it. The Carbon Express Deluxe Case is a suitable soft choice at $66. A good inexpensive choice is the Allen Company case at $30 and allows more room for accessories.
Crossbow Review – Summary
Thanks for reading our review of the Diamond Archery StrykeZone Solution LS. This is an exceptional crossbow for its price range, and has a number of fantastic safety features. Unfortunately, Diamond Archery (and parent company Bowtech) aren’t really up-to-date with the way people shop online, so your online purchase may not include a warranty at all. Shop wisely, and make sure you are making a purchase from an authorized online retailer if you want to be covered under the limited lifetime warranty.
